Cindi Myers, author, teacher, storyteller.
A lifelong love affair with the Bible, combined with the gift of storytelling, led Cindi to explore the what ifs of Bible stories. Using a unique point of view, she invites the readers to step into the daily lives of well-known Bible characters. From there she retells the Bible story using facts from Scripture, but where the Word is silent her creativity comes to life.
Cindi has a Bachelor of Science from Palm Beach Atlantic University in Biblical counseling which helps her understand the person-hood of her characters. In addition, she has a Master of Education from Jones International University which honed her writing skills and helped her learn to tell a story while only using written words. Her Master of Biblical Studies from Luther Rice Seminary and University fed her passion for bringing the Bible to life and put to test her researching abilities.
Cindi spent twelve years teaching Middle School Bible. During this season she used the art of storytelling to engage the students and to help them understand complicated theologies. She has spent over twenty-seven years teaching Bible to adults and students. She has the reputation of being able to take complicated and confusing information and making it understandable and applicable to everyday life.
A native of New Jersey, Cindi is a half back now that she has moved from Florida to South Carolina. For the past five years, she has had the privilege of teaching High School students. She has the pleasure of teaching two different literature classes, World Geography, World Religions, and Psychology.
When not grading hundreds of papers, she is taking photographs of waterfalls, sunsets and oceans. Or she is hanging out with her three grandchildren. It is common to find Cindi hiking various mountain trails with her camera and husband of 39 years.
In a world where speaking two languages is valued, Cindi is proud to say that she speaks sarcasm fluently.
Cindi published her first book in 2018, The Fight for Your Spiritual Life, an introduction to the spiritual warfare in the life of believers. She has finished her first full length novel, The Longing, and is shopping it around with different publishers. This Biblical fiction explores the life of Hannah, Elkanah and Peninnah. It is a touching story of love, hope, and acceptance despite challenges, hopelessness, and infertility. In 2021 she published her first novella titled The Choice. The Choice, tells the story of Lucifer and fellow angels getting expelled from Heaven. This is a prequel for her current work in progress, The Challenge which is a Biblical fiction about the life of Job from the eyes of a door greeting angel.
