Author, Teacher, Storyteller
Welcome to my corner of the internet. Take your time, look around. Check out my books, read a preview of them. Watch the trailers. There's much to see here.
Storytelling is my passion. Creating stories that readers can get lost in is my goal. Teaching is as natural to me as breathing. One of my favorite ways to teach is through storytelling. Over the years I have perfected the ability to draw students into a story while helping them understand complex ideas. I use this tactic when writing fiction.
The Bible is my greatest inspiration. I love to explore the lives of people who lived during Bible times. Have you ever stopped to think about the daily lives of the people mentioned in the Bible? What did they do with their time? What made them happy? What did they fear? When reading the stories in the Bible its easy to forget the people were humans just like us. They had highs and lows, joys, and sorrows. Once I find a person in the Scriptures who piques my curiosity I research them, and then they become the major character in one of my tales.
My first publication was a non-fiction book about spiritual warfare titled Fight for Your Spiritual Life. It is an introduction book that helps the reader understand the who, what, why of spiritual warfare. The book contains over 100 Scripture references, offers four easy to use tools and is written in a way that is easy for anyone to understand.
Fight for Your Spiritual Life serves as an inspirational guidebook and is packed full of essential truths. It is truly a handbook for spiritual self-defense, and a means to understand this eternal struggle and the role we as Believers play in it.
Looking for a bible study tool? Try Fight for Your Spiritual Life: Tools to Help Every Believer Win the Spiritual Battle in their Lives. This well-researched book describes all the players in this battle; those who stand on the side of God and those who stand with Satan. What about us? How do we know what to do? And contains study questions at the end of each chapter.
The Choice is a novella that explores the fall of Lucifer. Before the foundation of the earth was laid there was a battle in heaven. Lucifer, the head angel decided that he wanted to be the one receiving all the praise. He gave a great speech, convincing one third of the angels to leave heaven and follow him. Then he showed up in the Garden of Eden and things on earth were never the same.
My first full length novel, The Longing, is ready for the publishers. This story deals with prayer, infertility, and wanting to be loved for who you are. This is the story of Hannah, Elkanah and Peninnah (1 Samuel 1 & 2). Two wives, one loved, the other fertile. While Elkanah loves Hannah, he must have an heir. He decides to marry a woman 10 years younger than he and Hannah. While she can produce children, she is young, immature, and self-absorbed. Will she destroy the entire family? Will Elkanah be forced to step down as head scribe? Will Hannah ever experience the joy of holding a child?
My work in progress is The Challenge. This story will explore Job, but from the eyes of a door greeting angel in heaven. The story will visit the idea of free will, why good people suffer and how to deal with the loss of someone special. The Choice is a prequel to Job’s story. The angels and demons the readers meet in The Choice are back in The Challenge.
Got questions? I'd love to hear from you.
